PARATUS Welcomes a New Managing Director for its U.S. group companies, aycan and iQ IMAGE

PARATUS, an expanding global healthcare IT solutions company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Alan Stevens as Managing Director for its U.S. group companies, aycan Medical Imaging (aycan) and Image Information Systems North America (iQ IMAGE). With both companies already firmly established, Stevens steps into the role with a clear focus on leveraging the companies’ strong foundations to drive continued growth and innovation.

The timing of this transition follows a period of significant milestones for aycan and iQ IMAGE, including the successful integration with PARATUS following their acquisitions in 2023 and the completion of a group-wide brand update in February this year. With these foundational steps now complete, both companies are entering their next chapters with renewed clarity, alignment, and momentum.

Drawing on over 16 years of experience in healthcare IT and medical imaging, Alan brings a unique blend of strategic vision, deep industry knowledge, and client-first leadership to the role. Alan will focus on accelerating growth, deepening customer and partner relationships, and building on the strong foundations established over the past two decades.

Combining the role of Managing Director across both aycan and iQ IMAGE in the U.S. is a natural next step for PARATUS. “aycan’s Mac- and Linux-based portfolio perfectly complements iQ IMAGE’s Windows-based offerings, creating a well-rounded technology suite,” said von Kleist. “Since 2021, the two companies have been strategic resellers and technology partners, and their relationship further deepened when both were acquired in 2023. This alignment not only enhances their ability to deliver complete workflow solutions to customers but also strengthens the overall PARATUS group.”

Stevens’ appointment follows the leadership handover from Frank Burkhardt (aycan) and Mike Jensen (iQ IMAGE), who both founded and led each company for over 20 years. “Frank and Mike’s strategic leadership and ability to build strong customer relationships were key in guiding both companies from inception to the respected positions they hold today,” said von Kleist. “We extend our heartfelt thanks to both of them for their commitment and leadership.” While Mike is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities, Frank is stepping back from day-to-day operations at aycan and will continue to support the company in a strategic advisory role.
