Out now: Flexible, web-based workflow manager iQ-WEB RIS

The next generation of Radiology Information Systems has arrived. With the freshly released iQ-WEB RIS, we have added a web-based radiology information system to our product portfolio. By offering advanced configuration options, it allows healthcare institutions of any size to flexibly customize and thus optimize their radiology workflow – even across different sites. This makes iQ-WEB RIS ideal for teleradiology scenarios, as it supports the remote scheduling, acquisition, reading and sharing of studies.

Check out the iQ-WEB RIS product brochure to find out more about this flexible radiology workflow manager or contact our sales team at sales@iq-image.com for questions or a product demo.

What are the major differences between iQ-WEB RIS and iQ-RIS?

iQ-WEB RIS

iQ-WEB RIS is a flexible, web-based Radiology Information System, which can easily be customized to meet the requirements of any hospital or imaging center. Its truly zero-footprint architecture requires no installation or configuration on the user computers. iQ-WEB RIS focusses on teleradiology projects or projects with slow network connections, as it specializes in:

  • Web-based order scheduling
  • Web-based procedure management
  • Web-based reading/reporting
  • HL7 integrations

iQ-RIS

iQ-RIS accelerates the radiology workflow by providing management solutions for small practices. Its client–server based architecture requires no internet access. iQ-RIS advanced features include:

  • Speech recognition (e.g. Dragon) interface
  • Basic invoicing and internal communication option
  • Internal communication / chat
  • Medical or general alert notifications
  • HL7 scheduling (ORM filled vetting list + drag / drop into calendar)

At a glance: HL7 interfaces available in iQ-WEB RIS and iQ-RIS

The HL7 standard was established to allow the many software applications used in healthcare to “speak” or interface with one another. This way, it also enables dynamic and accurate communication between Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and other medical information systems ensuring a smooth and speedy daily workflow. IMAGE’s two RIS systems – iQ-RIS and iQ-WEB RIS – offer the following HL7 interfaces:

iQ-WEB RIS 2.0 iQ-RIS 3.3
Incoming HL7 messages (from external information systems, e.g. MIS, HIS, etc.)
  • Administration of patient data (ADT^A01, ADT^A02, ADT^A03, ADT^A04, ADT^A05)
  • Management of order information (ORM^O01)
  • Message transmission acknowledgment (ACK)
  • Administration of patient data (ADT^A01, ADT^A02, ADT^A03, ADT^A04)
  • Patient reconciliation and merge (ADT^A08, ADT^A40)
  • Management of order information (ORM^O01, ORR^O02)
  • Message transmission acknowledgment (ACK)
Outgoing HL7 messages (to external information systems, e.g. MIS, HIS, etc.)
  • Observation reporting management (ORU^R01)
  • Detailed financial transaction (DFT^P03)
  • Message transmission acknowledgment (ACK
  • Observation reporting management (ORU^R01)
  • Detailed financial transaction (DFT^P11)
  • Message transmission acknowledgment (ACK)

Support for other HL7 message types or communication options is available on request. Please contact support@iq-image.com for this purpose.

Important security update: iQ-INTERFACE 3.1.1

We would like to draw your attention to a significant update regarding the security of iQ-INTERFACE. After careful examination, we have discovered a bug that caused all WADO links to be generated with infinite validity, regardless of the time limits that may have been set.

We are pleased to inform you that this issue has been successfully addressed in iQ-INTERFACE 3.1.1. This update specifically caters to users who implement time-limited link validity, particularly when sharing links online. If you do not restrict the validity of links, this bug fix will not affect your usage.

iQ-INTERFACE 3.1.1 is now available for download in our Sales Partner Area (Sales Partner’s Area / Products / iQ-INTERFACE / Installation files). We strongly advise all users who generate time-limited WADO links to promptly update to the latest version to ensure your software remains up-to-date and secure.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.
